read moreHi! My name is Amelia, and I'm a graduate student getting my master's degree in Human-Computer Interaction from the
University of Maryland. I currently am a web design intern at the National Institute of Standards and Technology. I also am a research assistant at UMD's
Health, Aging, and Technology Lab, which focuses on designing technologies for older adults and people with dementia.
I have experience with pretty much every step of the design and development process. I've single-handedly designed, built, and deployed systems from the ground up. I have conducted research and testing with users of all ages, from children to retirees. I'm a very driven, passionate, and fast learner, and I strive to learn as much about this industry as possible in order to create designs tailored to users' needs.
Outside of design, if I'm not drawing or baking, you can probably find me scouting out new milk tea places in the Washington DC area.
